About

I work as a curator, writer and art manager at the intersection of contemporary art and ecology, with a particular focus on photographic practices. From 2022 until 2026, I have served as chief curator at Kunst Haus Wien, where I developed the institution’s exhibition program dedicated to ecological topics. Prior to that, I was assistant curator and exhibition manager at the same institution, as well as for the Foto Wien photography festival. In addition, I have curated dozens of independent projects in public space, off-spaces and established exhibition venues. From August 2026, I will serve as Director of Fotomuseum Winterthur.

For the Klima Biennale Wien, I curated two of its main exhibitions: Seeds. Reclaiming Roots, Sowing Futures (2026) and Into the Woods. Perspectives on Forest Ecosystems (2024). I have realized solo exhibitions with artists such as Julius von Bismarck (2025), Mika Rottenberg (2025), Stefanie Moshammer (2023), and Edson Chagas (2016). In 2020, I co-curated the comprehensive group exhibition Nach uns die Sintflut (After Us, the Flood), which brought together photographic and video works by international artists addressing the climate crisis. I also conceived the successful ongoing interdisciplinary talk series Future Talks: Climate X Change in cooperation with Fridays for Future, running since 2020.
My engagnement with environmental responsibility extends beyond curatorial content to implementing sustainable practices in exhibition-making, curating, and institutional operations.

I hold a Master’s degree in Art History and Media Studies from the University of Vienna. In 2017, I was Curatorial Research Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago. My writing appears regularly in exhibition catalogues, artist books, and magazines. I am frequently invited to speak at exhibition openings and as an expert at international portfolio reviews. Furthermore, I am a member of the advisory board of Cité de l’Image and member of IKT (International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art).
